Beds were broke and uncomfortable, maintaince showed up when we didn't call to do work, coffee pot was broke, extension chords running across the living room floor, light bulbs out, guest bath knobs broke, balcony sliding doors extremely difficult to open, couches worn, outside alarms went off for over an hour our last morning there. These USDA Prime steaks are served sizzling hot from a patented 1800 degree broiler oven. Besides their famous steaks, they also serve local delicacies. These include fresh seasonal seafood, New Orleans inspired appetizers and deliciously decadent desserts. For a full day of pampered indulgence you may visit the Spa at Silver Shells. This luxurious facility offers facials, manicures, pedicures, dermabrasion techniques, hydro therapy, aroma therapy as well as Swedish and European styled full body massage. The elegant spa also has a full service salon for all of your hair care needs. If long walks on the beach, body surfing and swimming are not enough exercise, Silver Shells also sports a state of the art Fitness Facility with specialized Body Master's equipment, weight programs, cardiovascular machines and aerobic workouts. Private tennis courts are also available on site and there is even a basketball court. The first is 304 in the St. Croix with three bedrooms and two baths which is located in the exact center of the complex with sunny views across the waters all the way to the southern horizon. This condo has a bright and airy feel since it is decorated in pleasing pastel colors. From the main living area a wall of floor to ceiling windows looks out onto the private balcony with vista views of the lagoon pool, the palm tree oasis, crystal white sands and shimmering gulf. High backed wicker chairs accommodate four in an adjacent dining area with three more seats available at the light, open kitchen bar. The two guest bedrooms have elegant, floral patterns and share a nice sized bathroom. The Master Bedroom Suite is very hip with burgundy red colored walls and a large contemporary styled, four poster, king sized bed. This suite has its own access to the balcony which has stunning views of the tropical setting below and the gem stone colored waters beyond. The large private bath has a spa type tub for deep relaxation as well as a separate shower if you're on the go.
I had a 80-minute Swedish massage done by Katie Maxey, and it was one of the best ones I have EVER had! She relieved a lot of tension, and you could tell she had mastered the art of massaging. I felt so relaxed afterwards. If I was basing this review just on the massage itself, I would say I 100% recommend. However, the service at the spa before and after was a bit disappointing. I went back to the waiting area (which is pretty small and not too "relaxing" - there's lemon wat... er and that's about it). But when I was back there, I wasn't really told what the expect (i. e. how long to be back there, if my masseuse was going to come get me, if I pay first, etc). The same experience after the massage; I went back to the same room, and sat for 10 minutes. Once no one came back, I went up to the front a bit confused, and another customer told me that the front desk person was in the bathroom. She eventually came out and I was able to easily pay, but I just wish I had a little bit more direction before and after.
